Potting Process

Potting Process

Potting requires a few supplies...

  • A mesh planting tarp (imperatively filtering)
  • Pebbles, stones, or preferably pumice (volcanic rock)
  • A soil mix of compost, soil, and sand

Laying the tarp:

  1. Lay a first piece of tarp that rests on the bottom and rises along the two opposite walls up to about 10 cm from the edge of the panels.

  2. Lay a second piece of tarp crossing the first.

  3. Fill with pebbles or pumice up to about 10 cm.

  4. Lay a piece of tarp covering just the bottom to prevent contact between the soil and the stones.

  5. Finally, add a first layer of soil mix.

  6. Proceed with potting the tree, keeping it upright and centered in the box.

  7. Place the four panels.

  8. Finish by filling the empty space with soil mix.
